Hysteresis Hysteresis is a property of viscoelastic structures in which the resumption of its original length occurs more slowly than the deformation. The rate at which recovery happens between loading and unloading. Initially the structure may not return to its original length, but remain slightly longer. This difference between initial and final length is known as "set". |
