Kappa factor The kappa coefficient is commonly used in studies to address the reliability ot two testers to come to the same conclusion about a test. It takes account of the fact that there is a 50% probability of chance agreement even if random judgements are made. It reports a numeric value, with 1.00 being perfect agreement and 0.00 for agreement no better than chance. Negative values imply that agreement is worse than what would be expected by chance alone. Values between 0.61 - 0.80 are considered good ; above 0.81 very good. |
