Spondylolisthesis
A spondylolisthesis seen on medical imaging is not necessarily responsible for the actual complaints of the patient. A forward displacement of a vertebral body, which can occur if there are defects in both neural arches. On palpation along the spinous processes one can find a shelf as the result of a spondylolisthesis. The key factor is to interpret the history : pain on walking and standing, which disappears fast on sitting and lying is typical. Mostly spondylolisthesis is asymptomatic.
