Adductor longus tenoperiosteal friction massage

Friction massage for the Rider's sprain, an adductor lesion frequently seen in football players and horseback riders

Adductor longus tenoperiostal friction massageStarting position for the friction massage of the tenoperiosteal aspect of the adductor longus :
slight abduction and lateral rotation. For a right adductor longus we palpate in the cranial direction with the left middle finger until we feel the inferior edge of the pubic bone : the finger is then turned 45° medially and now feels bone and tendon at the same time. It is reinforced by the other middle finger. The deep friction is executed in the normal way.
