The ETGOM courses have been presented, until today, in about 30 countries.
Besides the modular diploma training program in modern orthopaedic medicine Cyriax, we also offer two compact courses on the extremities and the lumbar spine. After attending the compact courses there is a possibility to continue with the diploma training program.
Course structure Diploma course, modular system
Global remark : for what is concerned the execution of treatment and examination techniques we always follow the "3 step plan" :
explain the procedures through the powerpoint presentation demonstration on film Demonstration life on a colleague
Afterwards colleagues exercise on eachother ; we provide a maximum of exercise time ; we promote regular exercise partner change and repetitive exercise : practice makes perfect !

Refresher course / Diploma examination course
Note : you have the opportunityto attend just the refresher course, for the first 1 ½ days, without the examination. The refresher is strongly recommended.
3 days Day 1-2 0900-1700 0900-1230
First we discuss some extra differential diagnosis regarding spinal pathologies, followed by intensive practical recapitulation of all examination and treatment procedures of the upper extremity, lower extremity, cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Specific personal problem solving : your specific theoretical and practical questions will be answered. This is a custom made program adapted to your specific wishes, in order to prepare you in the best possible way for successful application in your clinic and for a great diploma exam.
2nd day : 1400-1700 MCQ theoretical examination / correction and analysis of the examination. You receive detailed feedback !
Day 3 As from 0900 - ... Practical examination, per duo, approx. 30-45' per person ; we plan the specific time setting/appointments in the evening of the second day. You are free of choice regarding the partner on which you want to perform the practical exam.
In a carefully balanced time frame we offer you the best possible orthopaedic medicine training program availabe, with emphasis on the symbiotic possibilities toward other approaches.
This program is not artificially long, it is purely practical and is therefore less expensive. You immediately can feel the return on investment in your daily practice.
One always has to start with module A ; after attending module A one can continue with upper extremity, lower extremity or spine. The module on the cervical and thoracic spine can only be attended after having participated at the lumbar spine module.
Note : this program can be adapted according to the wishes of the organizing partner ; sequence of modules and specific content per module can vary.
